The Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities will launch a research program to allow expert academics and researchers from Turkey and other countries to examine the social, cultural, political and economic situations, immigration stories, important personalities and archival documents of the communities named as "Los Turcos" who immigrated from the Ottoman Empire to Latin America.

In this context, it is envisaged that the "Los Turcos Immigration to Latin America Research Support Program" will be implemented to support the field researches to be carried out by related academics and researchers in Latin American countries. The program aims to provide financial support to academic field researches to be carried out individually or by research teams within a maximum period of 6 months in Latin American countries.

Applications for the "Los Turcos Immigration to Latin America Research Support Program" can be made at https://basvuru.ytb.gov.tr and researchers are expected to submit a draft field research proposal at the time of application. It is expected that the applications for the program will be received between 1 August and 12 September 2022 and the results will be announced on October 14, 2022.
