President of the Council of Higher Education, Erol Özvar, met with the Malaysian Minister of Higher Education, Zambry Abd Kadir.
Stating that the institutional cooperation between Türkiye and Malaysia in the field of higher education has been placed on a concrete and sustainable footing, Özvar noted that, within this framework, issues such as “academic staff and student mobility,” “joint education and research programs,” “scholarship and exchange opportunities,” “coordination in technical and vocational education,” “joint degree programs,” “inter-university forums,” and “quality assurance and mutual recognition” will be among the priority areas.
Özvar stated: “I sincerely believe that this strong cooperation between Türkiye and Malaysia, centered on higher education, will deepen scientific interaction, strengthen academic capacity, and open new horizons for our youth.”
At the ceremony held yesterday in the presence of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, cooperation protocols between the Council of Higher Education and the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education were signed by President of the Council of Higher Education Erol Özvar and Malaysian Minister of Higher Education Zambry Abd Kadir.
